As a previous eye physician and surgeon in China, Dr. Zhu has a solid background in ocular diseases. After moving to the US with her family, Dr. Zhu worked at the National Eye Institute / National Institute of Health (NEI/NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland as a researcher. She then attended the New England College of Optometry in Boston. She had intensive training in contact lenses, pediatric eye care, ocular diseases, low vision, and vision therapy during rotations. Dr. Zhu has been practicing in CT for 10 years after graduating from optometry school. She is an active member of the American Optometry Association and Connecticut Optometry Association. She always tries to provide the highest level of the optometry service to her patients.
Dr. Zhu resides in Cheshire with her husband and two children. After work, Dr. Zhu enjoys dancing and cooking.
